IN THE HEIGHTS, GUYS and DOLLS Included in Westchester Broadway Theatre's 2013 Season

The Westchester Broadway Theatre's 2013 Season will feature one contemporary piece and five classics. The Theatre will present IN THE HEIGHTS from February 7 to March 17, 2013, GUYS AND DOLLS from March 21 to May 26, 2013, THE SOUND OF MUSIC from May 30 to August 4, 2013, OLIVER! from August 7 to September 1, 2013, KISS ME KATE from September 5 to November 10, 2013, and WHITE CHRISTMAS from November 14, 2013 to January 5, 2014.

Dinner & Show range between $52.00 and $80.00 (plus tax) depending on the performance chosen. Beverage Service & Gratuities are not included in the ticket price. Discounts are available for children, students, and senior citizens at selected performances. Visit www.BroadwayTheatre.com for on-going special offers.

Wed, Thurs, Fri matinees are at 1pm (lunch at 11:30am); evening performances on Thurs, Fri, Sat are at 8pm (dinner at 6:30pm); Sunday matinees are at 1:30 (lunch at 12pm); Sunday evening performances are at 7pm (dinner at 5:30pm).

IN THE HEIGHTS (2/7/13-3/17/13)

The 2008 Tony Award winning musical, weaves a tale about three days in the life of Washington Heights, a vibrant and tight-knit community at the top of the island of Manhattan. It's a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music! The unique, and exhilarating score, is a dazzling array of hip hop, salsa, pop, soul, reggae, cha-cha, and mambo, including, “When You’re Home”, “It Won’t Be Long Now”, and “In The Heights”.

GUYS and DOLLS (3/21/13 -5/26/13)

The Winner of five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Guys and Dolls may well be the greatest musical of all time! Subtitled "A Musical Fable of Broadway," The show is set in the colorful world of New York City in the mid 20th century. Guys and Dolls, is populated with gangsters and gamblers, missionary dolls and beautiful showgirls, and has one of the great musical scores in the history of American theatre. Including Frank Loesser hits; “Luck Be A Lady”, “Guys and Dolls”, “If I Were A Bell” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ The Boat”.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC (5/30/13 – 8/4/13)

One of the world’s best loved musicals! Maria, a young, aspiring but quirky, nun fills the lives of the Von Trapp children with “The Sound of Music” and captures the heart of their stern and lonely father. But, will their harmonious lives be torn apart when their beautiful homeland is ravaged by war? Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Tony Award-winning musical delights audiences with the uplifting story and an irresistible score: “Climb Every Mountain,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Edelweiss” and “My Favorite Things.” Don’t miss out on this timeless classic!

OLIVER! (8/7/13- 9/1/13)

The colorful characters of Charles Dickens' classic "Oliver Twist" come brilliantly to life in Victorian London. This beloved musicaltells the tale of the orphan boy who is swept into a band of pickpockets; the Artful Dodger, the menacing Bill Sikes, the kind-hearted Nancy, all led by the wily Fagin. The sensational, Tony award winning, score is full of Lionel Bart's irresistible songs including “Food Glorious Food”, “Consider Yourself”, “You've Got to Pick-a-Pocket or Two”, “I'd Do Anything”, “Oom Pah Pah”, “As Long As He Needs Me” and many more. This show truly captures the joys and challenges of youth and will be sure to warm the heart of your entire family.

KISS ME KATE (9/5/13 – 11/10/13)

This Cole Porter hit is one of the masterpieces of musical theatre. It offers a host of glorious songs with some dazzling rhymes and a witty script about a former husband-and-wife acting team at war with each other while trying to stage a musical version of Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. The show, whose original 1948 production won five Tony awards, including Best Musical, scintillates with classic Cole Porter numbers,"Wunderbar", "Always True To You In My Fashion", "Why Can't You Behave", "Too Darned Hot". "I Hate Men" and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare”.
