WPPAC Conservatory Theatre presents THE LARAMIE PROJECT and THE LARAMIE PROJECT TEN YEARS LATER

(4/20/2012) The White Plains Performing Arts Center (WPPAC) Conservatory Theatre will present The Laramie Project on Friday, April 20 at 8:00pm* and Sunday April 22 at 2:00pm and The Laramie Project Ten Years Later: An Epilogue on Saturday April 21 at 8:00pm and Sunday April 22 at 6:00pm. Student performances with structured talk back sessions will be held as follows: Laramie Project on Friday April 20 at 10:00am* and the Epilogue on Monday April 23 at 10:00am.

Westchester Broadway Theatre to Host Cancer Benefit

(4/5/2012) Westchester Broadway Theatre will host a fundraising event on April 5th, 2012, to help raise awareness about the work being done to support people affected by breast cancer. On the occasion of our new show, Legally Blonde, the theatre will donate $13.00 for every regular full price ticket sold for the evening performance, to Support Connection. (4/3/2012) Casting has been confirmed for Little Radical Theatrics' latest offering, the New York Regional Premiere of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON, which is slated to play a limited engagement (May 25-June 2, 2012) at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre in Mamaroneck. The "provocative, scathing and topical satire with wild and zany humor" will be helmed by LRT artistic director Michael Mirra, with musical direction by Ricky Romano, and original choreography by Jessica Bittner.

(3/31/2012) On Saturday March 31 at 8pm, The Emelin Theatre presents Nearly Lear – a mischievous, tender and comedic work that upends expectations of what a Shakespeare play should be. The newly named winner of the IPAY (International Performing Arts for Youth) 2012 Victor Award for Outstanding Production, is a theatrical and family event encapsulating all the grandeur of one of Shakespeare’s greatest works, King Lear. The story as told by Lear’s devoted clown is performed by actor Susanna Hamnett. The performance is for both seasoned theatergoers and kids from 6th grade on up.
