It seems every four years, as political primaries come upon us, Americans start thinking more about those far off people in drastically different communities we share this country with. If New Yorkers have had many thoughts about the coal industry recently, they probably had to do with President Trump's vocal support of it in the face of cleaner options.

The 29th Street Playwrights Collective has announced INDEPENDENCE DAY: An Old Play to Pay New Debt, written by John Robert Tillotson, as the recipient of the 2018 Michael Warren Powell Memorial Reading. The reading was named after the late founder of Circle in the Square Rep.

A private industry reading of the new play, The Search for Ecstasy will take place on Monday, February 5, 2018, at 1 PM in NYC. A new comedy by Douglas Braverman, The Search for Ecstasy will be directed by Francesco Campari.
